GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!!

All I have to say is who would have thought that the Saints would ever go to the SuperBowl???? I mean I can say that I thought I would never live to see this day, however, the day has come!!!!!!!!!! The Saints are going to the Super Bowl!!!!!!!!!! I am amazed and in awe!!!!!!!!! I have never more wanted to be located in New Orleans than at this moment!!!! I can’t imagine the cheering in the street, who even knows if they will go to work tomorrow!!! I’m not sure what else there is to say!!! But OH MY GOSH THE SAINTS ARE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!!!!

How is Archie Manning going to be able to cheer. I imagine he is going to be so torn…who does he cheer for the Saints (his team) or his son (who is playing his team)???? I mean oh my gosh!!!

I know that every Mississippian and Louisianian is cheering their hearts out at this moment. And every displaced person from New Orleans that are all over the country now, we all cheer together!!!! WHO DAT, WHO DAT??? GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!!

Love all my friends and miss you all and I hope you all will be cheering with me when the SAINTS PLAY IN THE SUPER BOWL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God is ALWAYS faithful!!!

So have you ever wondered how faithful God is??? Well I can tell you to wonder no more because He is ALWAYS faithful! I applied for a job (actually several) at Methodist Hospital a while back (before I ever got hired at the Vineyard). I didn’t hear anything from the hospital for a LONG time and I thought that they weren’t interested in me. Well recently I had an interview at them. This was the longest interviews I have ever had as it lasted around 2 hours. They told me I would hear from them in 2-3 weeks either by phone offering me the job or by letter stating they had hired someone else. Well I can tell you I was going by the post office everyday checking to see if I had gotten the letter! Well on Monday, I got a phone call!!! I got offered the job at the hospital and I start on Monday!!! God is so faithful at providing for our needs! He always provides for our needs!

Also, I thought I would update you on our “house guest.” Lobo whose real name is Daisy went home to her real family. The sad part is that I wasn’t home to say goodbye to her. It’s ok though, she is back home with her family.

Well friends, I had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family! It was great to see them and spend some time with them! They arrived on Sunday night and left on Friday afternoon. Mom and I got to spend quite a bit of time together and I am quite thankful for that. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving as well. I am getting ready for Christmas and am super excited. I love you all very much and hope you guys are doing well. We miss you very much and pray for you guys!!!

“House Guest”

So yesterday afternoon, two of our youth came over to our house with a dog they had found (actually the dog tried to run into their home). They wanted to know if we had ever seen it before because it was running close to our house. We said no, but the whole group of us went to knock on some doors to see if anyone knew who the dog belonged to. So far, no one knows whose dog this is. It is a really cute chihuahua. At first she was very shy and didn’t really know what to do. She wouldn’t eat at first nor would she wag her tail or for that matter un-tuck her tail.

The guys that found her unfortunately cannot keep her as they have cats, so super long story short, Trent and I currently have an additional house guest. We will be posting signs in the Post Office, in case anyone is missing her. Since we don’t know her name we are calling her Lobo (wolf). She puts Chewie in her place, though all Chewie wants to do is play.

She listens very well and seems to crave attention. Hopefully we will find her rightful owners, but for now she is our house guest and is mixing fairly well into our home. To all our friends out and about, we love you all and miss you all like crazy. Special message: Kara, I got your text. I’m sorry I forgot to respond, but figured ‘you check our blog so you would see this.’ I love you dear friend and miss you like crazy. To everyone: have a great week and maybe we will see you soon!!!!!!

Text “Talk”

So have you ever wondered what happened to us? For some reason, our culture feels the need to talk in letters. Now I am young enough that I text, but it runs me crazy when people say “ty” for thank you. I like words. Words are wonderful and they complete thoughts. I was playing a game tonight at Pogo and everyone that said anything (for the most part, there were a few that spoke in complete sentences) said nothing but letters. There was one person that said a whole sentence that had about 8 words in WITH NOTHING BUT LETTERS!!!! I just don’t understand. Yet again I would like to say that I love words. I love reading and I don’t like having to be a mind reader to figure out what the heck you are trying to say!!! Anyways dear friends…if you have any input on this topic leave me a comment. I love you all and miss you all like crazy!!!

Fall in Kentucky…

So driving to work the other day, I was thinking about fall. I was looking at the trees as I drove (which mind you, I have a 35 minute commute) and they are absolutely beautiful! They are full of blazing reds, firey oranges and golden yellows. I am always amazed at what God does this time of year. I know that Kentucky and Indiana are two of the most colorful states in the fall. I never saw trees quite as beautiful in Mississippi. And please note that I love Mississippi and every green tree there. But there is something awe inspiring about every tree being a different color. They are so rich and it is exactly what I always pictured fall as. It’s been quite chilly here lately, but so beautiful. If you ever have the opportunity to visit Kentucky in the fall, please do so. I think you will agree how beautiful it is. Isn’t it wonderful that we serve a God who can create the human body and all it’s parts and then still create something as beautiful as the trees changing color. I am so thankful for my creator and what He has done for me and what He shows me when I take the time to look.

If any of my friends out there want to share with me what their fall looks like, please make a comment and tell me. I love to hear about these things. Remember friends we love you all very much and miss you even more. Keep the faith!!

And the count is 10…

We awoke this morning to find that an enclosed (non-throwaway) DeCon Mouse Trap had succeeded in killing Herod Antipas. This is the first time this DeCon Mouse Trap has caught a mouse. We also awoke to find that the Tom Cat Mouse Trap (which we highly recommend) had done its job again taking with it the mouse life of Archelaus. Yeah for the Tom Cat’s!!!

Please note, our house is not dirty and we are not filthy pig people. The only reason why we have mice is one we live in the country and two they are ripping down trailers and the mice have no where to live. Trent asked me to say, the mice have offered no terms of surrender so therefore, the Mouse Wars continue.

Mouse Wars (cont. again)…

Well it seems that Xerxes, Herod Agrippa and Haman have now become the Tom Cat’s latest victims. Xerxes was trapped via his butt. The trap yes got him in the butt. Herod Agrippa and Haman were actually trapped in the same trap. Yes, that’s right there were two mice trapped in the SAME trap. At this point, we highly recommend the Tom Cat Mouse Trap. Hopefully we will not have to write about any more Mouse Wars, however, they are still taring down the trailers and actually burning some of the wood they pull off and this is only making the mice run some more.

Yet again, we ask for your assistance in future names of mice. Evil dictators or evil men are the way we are going. If you have any suggestions please post a comment with the name and why you choose that one. Thanks for your assistance. To all our friends we miss you dearly and love you all 😀 Have a great day!!

Mouse Wars (cont.)…

Well hopefully I am not offending anyone by the use of these names. However, Mao is now deceased. This was by far the largest, fattest mouse we’ve caught. Tom Cat Mouse Traps are great. They don’t look like too much but they definitely get the job done. For us, it worked within 30 minutes.

If you have any name suggestions for future mice please post a comment. We are interested in new names. In the near future if the mice continue there will be a Xerxes. Alright friends. Hopefully this is the last mouse we will see thought we all know that’s not the case.

Mouse wars…

Close to our house there have been four trailers. These trailers are being torn down as they are an eyesore and uninhabited. Well as these trailers have been there for a while, they have guests in them. They are small and furry and rodents. Since these trailers that are being torn down are close to our house we are starting to have problems with mice. Now I can’t stand mice. I am the typical female when it comes to mice. I DON’T LIKE THEM IN MY HOUSE!!!!! The only thing different is that I name the mice. We’ve had a Napoleon, a Stalin, a Rasputin and a Mussolini. Yes I know, we are naming them evil dictators or rather evil people…I kind of think its appropriate because in my mind mice are evil!

Well some people would probably not want to kill the mice but rather release them. Now I am not for animal cruelty, but there is no where to release these mice close to us that wouldn’t require quite a drive and then I worry that they may come back. So we’ve used alternative means. The most recent mouse Mussolini found himself caught a glue trap. This is good because we had begun to think we had wasted our money on these. The second mouse Stalin, found himself in a DeCon trap. However, Napoleon and Rasputin found themselves victim to a semi-automatic air-soft pistol which was provided by one of the youth at our church. The twinkies love to kill mice and come whenever we call them.

We will keep you posted as the Mouse Wars will continue. Love you all friends and miss you dearly but are glad you are not in this Mouse War too. If you have any suggestions feel free to post them in the comments.

Sad times! So…I had this wonderful hairdryer. I’ve had it since college, probably since my sophomore year. I absolutely loved it. On Monday, my hairdryer died!! I am super sad about this!! I had to buy a new one and it isn’t just like my old one. I mean it’s ok, but it just isn’t the same 😦

I know this post is stupid, but I am really sad about my old hairdryer! Anyways, hope all my friends are having a great day! Love you all dearly and miss you all like crazy!!
